Agreement on the Development of Barley and Other Products in the Sera Region

On March 4th, 2024, SAKURAO Brewery & Distillery Co., Ltd. (President and CEO Koichiro Shirai) and the Onomichi Agricultural Cooperative (Representative Director and Board President Kazuhiro Tange) are proud to announce the signing of an “Agreement on the Development of Barley and Other Products in the Sera Region”.

Since resuming whisky production in 2017, our collaboration with the Onomichi Agricultural Cooperative has focused on cultivating and producing barley locally to start the production of whisky made with Sera barley. This new agreement aims to enhance our further cooperation to ensure a stable supply of raw materials for whisky production and to contribute to the region’s development using local ingredients.
