SAKURAO Brewery and Distillery Co., Ltd plans to open the new theme park with distillery, tentatively named as SAKURAO YOSHIWA WHISKY PARK in scenic site, YOSHIWA.

SAKURAO Brewery and Distillery Co., Ltd. (President and CEO Koichiro Shirai) announces a new plan to open the new distillery “SAKURAO YOSHIWA WHISKY PARK (a tentative name)” inside the grounds of Miwaku Village in Yoshiwa, located in a mountainous region of Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima. The total investment amount is several billion yen with an aiming for completion by autumn, 2025.

【The new theme park with distillery】
“SAKURAO YOSHIWA WHISKY PARK (a tentative name)” has goals to convey the manufacturing spirits of Japan, spread and educate the local culture throughout Japanese whisky. And it will be the new theme park with distillery which invite not only whisky aficionado from Japan and abroad but also a new whisky fans segment.

【Yoshiwa, Hatsukaichi】
Yoshiwa is a heavy snowfall area, located in the mountainous region of northwest of Hatsukaichi, Hiroshima. A mountain in Yoshiwa named Mt. Kanmuri is the source of the Ota River as a first-class river representing Hiroshima. In the spring, snowmelt water become to the clear stream and the beautiful scenery laid out of rich nature in Yoshiwa, that is the ideal place to making whiskies.
