In the Other Single Malt Category, Single Malt Japanese Whisky TOGOUCHI 1st release CASK STRENGTH is awarded \u201cDouble Gold\u201d in the global spirits competition \u201cNew York World Wine & Spirits Competition\u201d held in USA. Also, the whisky is awarded \u201cBest of Class\u201d, which is selected only one product for each of category. In addition, Single Malt Japanese Whisky SAKURAO 1st release CASK STRENGTH is awarded \u201cGold\u201d in the Competition.<\/p>\n

Hiroshima is also blessed with varying natural environments in the mountain and sea regions. Aging the whisky in both the tranquil area around the Seto Inland Sea as well as in the lush Chugoku Mountains gives the whisky a unique taste that reflects the natural surroundings.<\/p>\n

We have been supported by many people so far.<\/p>\n

We are eternally grateful for the local residents of Hiroshima who have continued to support our endeavors, as well as loyal customers from around the world who choose our products.This includes local farmers, agricultural and forestry unions, distillery production staff, still manufacturers, bartenders, and SAKURAO ambassadors who have stood by us through various challenges.<\/p>\n

This competition is held by the same tasting alliance members as the world’s largest liquor competition “San Francisco World Spirits Competition” in the United States. This competition is established one of the most prestigious competitions in the United States. Double Gold, Gold, Silver and Bronze will be selected after a blind screening by judges such as well-known bartenders, buyers and journalists in the United States. And the best of Double Gold will be given a “Best of Class” for each division. Of the many items exhibited this time, about 520 items were awarded.<\/p>\n
